A coin's value comes from two main factors, the type of coin and the condition of the coin:
The type of coin can be broken up into the visual type, the coin's date, mint and any varieties associated with the coin.
The condition of the coin is related to how much damage it has received since it was struck, note that a coin's
condition can never be improved and any attempt to do so will almost certainly damage it further.
To identify if your coin's type is valuable, simply enter the date and country of your coin here: Identify your coin.
